Our interdisciplinary team supports the primary caregiver in addressing the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of our patients. When a loved one gets a prognosis of six months of life or less, hospice care is recommended by a physician. Hospice care focuses on giving your loved one maximum comfort each day. Our skilled nurses provide a variety of services for children, ranging from IV administration and chemotherapy to private duty nursing, school nursing, and respite care. Hospice usually begins within 48 hours after a referral, but services may start faster in an urgent situation. For example, if someone is in a hospital, hospice care may be arranged to start upon discharge from the hospital. Nursing staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist you and your loved one with any symptom and end-of-life issues or concerns.

Our staff uses the input to respond with compassion and understanding. You don’t have to wait until a physician brings up hospice to ask about it. The best time to learn about hospice and ask questions is before such services might be needed. Hospice care is available to people who are expected to live six months or less, no longer wish to pursue a cure and want to receive hospice care.
